Mathilde

Mathilde is five years old and loves birds. Her favourite bird is the kingfisher and she loves to dress in the same colours. In fact, everything she owns must be *kingfisher* coloured or else there will be tears, many mousey tears. Her mustard cardigan is merino/cotton mix and her dress is hand aged Tilda fabric. Her book is hand painted. £29.95 plus £3.95 P&P Mathilde is now sold :)

Wedding Mice

I just couldn't wait to share the 'official' photos of the wedding mice that are going in my shop.(NOTE - These mice have now sold, please email me if you would like to order your own). These would make wonderful wedding cake toppers or a beautiful and unique heirloom gift for the happy couple to treasure until they are old, old mice. Same sex wedding mice are also available. The bride wears antique french lace, (lace may vary for your order but rest assured it will be very old and very french). The groom's trousers, hat, ribbon colours can be changed to match the theme of yours or your friend's wedding, as can the bride's flowers. The base is made from 100% lambswool vintage blanket. The mice are priced at £69 plus postage. Please allow four weeks for stitching and delivery :) Please message me for more details. You can follow me on Facebook here

Fleurette and Cerise

Fleurette lives in a dry stone chabanos on the road out of town towards Nontron. She shares this tiny round building with her sister, Cerise and their mother, Framboise. Fleurette along with her sister and mother are the town's laundry mice. Each day they wash the pantaloons and frilly blouses of the townsfolk in the fresh waters of the Dronne then hang them to dry in the trees and bushes along the bank. They are paid handsomely for their labours due to the dangerous nature of the work. Once, it is rumoured, Fleurette fought off a large Mallard that had taken a fancy to Madame Maude's silk bloomers using nothing but a bar of soap and a bobby pin.
The girls have been taking over the kitchen table a little lately. I've decided it would be nice to sit and eat at the table for a few days, so everybody has been moved onto the dresser for now.
Right, I've got bills to pay, errands to run, shopping to do and one hundred deadlines to meet! Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday all. xxx

Madame Clémence Bisset and Mademoiselle Pénélope Bisset

Madame Clémence Bisset owns the Manoir Mûre high on the wooded hills overlooking the town. Her and Monsieur Éduoard are the twenty-eighth generation of Bisset mice to inhabit the golden stoned and turreted pile. They have a number of children, although nobody is quite sure how many as no-one has ever counted. Madame Clémence will be available in the shop later. She is priced at £26.99 plus P&P.
Mademoiselle Pénélope is one of the Manoir Mûre children. She loves to play in the black woods that coat the hillsides around the manoir. She climbs the great oak trees and gazes down upon the town, wishing that she was an ordinary mouse in an ordinary dress. Then perhaps a certain boy mouse called Phillipe would buy her a milkshake. Pénélope is priced at £24.99 plus P&P and will be available in the shop later.

Amelia or 'Sabine'

Amelia, or 'Sabine' as she is affectionately known by her friends moved to France from Italy when she was one year old. As she grew older, her beauty and her elegance didn't go unnoticed by the boy mice in the town. Numerous accidents were blamed on her striking features, including Pierre Lacroix' cricked neck, Jean-Luc's run in with a lamp post and the reason Fabian's moped ended up in the Dronne, (with Fabian still riding it). Hence her nick name 'Sabine', named after the ancient Italian tribe whose women were famed for their beauty. She has no plans to marry Pierre, Jean-Luc or Fabian. Not until they are out of plaster, anyway.

Busy Fingers!

I've been trying to keep myself out of trouble this week by sewing, and sewing, and sewing....I've accumulated quite the small army of mice now and am hoping to start listing them in the shop towards the end of the week. I must keep this short as it's back to school tomorrow for Sienna, and I need to try and make myself look reasonably human again for the school run after weeks of slouching about in my jim jams! I should at least wash my hair!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a restful and relaxing break over the festive holidays, (although if you're anything like me, you'll need another holiday to get over it all!) I'm all set to start on my Spring Collection for All Things Ottoline. I visited the Haberdashery yesterday and stocked up on fabric for my "English Country Mice" range. Lots of lovely tweeds, greens and 'country fashions' to quote Pride and Prejudice. I must dash now, as every publisher I'm working with seems to be having a meeting on the 15th January to which they want to take my work, so some very tight deadlines this week and next! Thank-you so much for all your lovely comments over the past year, they really make me smile and give me a reason to continue making my mice, which I love. Right...back to the drawing board! Erica xxx
